Why Your Vaginal Symptoms Are Not Resolving

Vaginal infections (particularly if recurrent) can be frustratingly stubborn to treat!

Here are 3 common reasons why you may not be seeing relief of your vaginal symptoms

1. You haven’t identified the specific microbe involved
There are many different types of microbes implicated in recurrent vaginal infections, and often their symptoms overlap. Testing allows us to identify which microbes we are working with, so that we can formulate a specific plan to address microbial overgrowth

2. You are not treating the root cause of the infection
As there are many factors that are implicated in vaginal infections, these factors need to be addressed to achieve long term symptom resolution. Common factors include poor immune function, hormonal imbalances, gut dysbiosis, chronic stress & low levels of lactobacillus species

3. Your partner has not been factored into treatment
If your sexual partner has not been treated, it is likely that you are in a cycle of reinfection
